I just have to tell you about this app for iPhone and iPod Touch. Earlier this week Matt mentioned to me an iPhone application that allows you to scan barcodes of products and it pulls up the product name. I figured this would come in handy when I’m writing down prices of products in stores. Well, I found it.
It’s called Grocery id. I just downloaded it for my iPhone and tried out the bar code scanner. I may be a dork, but it’s so much fun! I tried it on different food products and a few exercise DVDs and it works. The iPhone takes a picture of the bar code, searches for the product, and up pops the name. It even sorts it into a category: Breakfast & Cereal, Cookies & Crackers, etc. Anyway, that’s just one of the features. You’ll be able to store shopping lists for different stores, print coupons, organize items by aisle, and send a list to your husband.
Go HERE to check it out. It’s a thrifty $.99 to download.
