Last Week’s Budget: Spent $25 and Save $23

Here’s how I did last week for our weekly grocery and personal care budget.  We try to keep it around $50 for a family of four.  To learn more about our budget and stockpiling go here.  I promise we did eat this past week.

**These are all ongoing deals at Meijer right now.  I marked the clearance items which will vary from store to store. **

Target $4.44

up & up Wipes $3.84

  • Used $.75 Target peelie (found on bottles of up & up Baby care products)
  • Final cost $3.09

(2) Johnson Buddies Soap $.97 each

Diego Band-aids 20 ct. $1.54 (clearance)
Neosporin To Go $3.34 (clearance)

I paid $4.44 out of pocket and saved $6.75.

Target $11.78

Tampax Tampons Multipack 54 ct $7.14 each

  • Used (2) $1/1 Tampax Product, exp. 4-30-10 (P&G 03/07/10)
  • Used $1/2 Target coupon from home mailer
  • Paid $11.28 out of pocket and I got $5 Target gift card.

I saved $3 with coupons.

Target $7.19

Soft Scrub Total $3.79

Mrs. Meyer Hand Soap $3.99

up & up Toddler Wipes $.97

  • Used $.75/1 Target peelie
  • Final cost $.22

Diego Band-aid 20 ct. $1.54 (clearance)
Neosporin $3.54 (reg. price)

I paid $7.19 and saved $7.30

We bought 3 gallons of milk at Family Fare for $1.47 (using the $6 milk coupon)

So total for the week I spent $24.88 and saved $23.05.  I also have the $5 Target gift card still to spend.
